Xiao Ying (笑樱 "Cherry Blossom")teapot, originally named the three-line pot, is one of the classic pot shapes in the purple sand pot, originating from the Ming Dynasty. The shape of the teapot was inspired by ancient ceramic tea storage utensils, and later on, because its bud pot button resembled a cherry on a branch, it was named Xiao Ying.
